Tech Modernisation, Enterprise Architecture – Vice President Full Time

What you’ll do

Our Technology Advisory team provides independent, senior-level expertise that enables executives to drive value from Technology and enhancing business performance. We leverage extensive expertise to deliver rapid and sustainable impact across:

• Digital and Technology strategy development, operating model, capability and governance design.
• Technology and Product strategy and innovation, assisting our clients with the strategy and execution.
• Defining and planning target architectures and roadmaps aligned to business objectives and plans including Data, Application/Integration and Technical/ Infrastructure architecture
• Technology cost reduction, outsourcing and end to end Transformation.
• Platform/systems/infrastructure assessments, re-platforming, rationalization and consolidation activities.
• Technology due diligence, carve-out, and merger integration planning and execution.
• IT crisis management, interim leadership roles, and project turnaround.

Central to our expertise is the technology strategy, organisation, applications and infrastructure which underpins any successful end-to-end transformation. We are looking for someone who has experience in Enterprise Architecture and how to define and design target state solutions, transition strategies and roadmaps, capability needs and the associated risks. This should ideally be coupled with prior consulting experience.

At AlixPartners, you will work closely with our clients to address strategic, operational, and technological challenges. Your skill in bridging the gap between technology and business will be crucial for delivering measurable results and driving business value.

What you’ll need 

• Preferably you will have a mix of consulting and industry experience, with an ability to deliver small projects and/or working across multiple workstreams of larger projects.
• Previous practical experience as an Enterprise Architect, with proven experience in designing enterprise-wide technology solutions working with business and technology teams
• A good understanding of software delivery, infrastructure, operations and governance.
• Experience conducting rapid digital diagnostics and maturity assessments to assess technological capabilities and identifying maturity gaps.
• Ability to define pragmatic steps and roadmaps to drive business value.
• Experience of architecting target states and complex solutions in a variety of environments, using different methodologies, frameworks, tools and software
• You demonstrate a keen personal interest in Technology and remain up to date in the latest trends, tools and impacts of Technology on industry.
• You are passionate about driving IT effectiveness and enabling clients to achieve their business objectives.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, comfortable speaking to senior non-technical clients.
• Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills along with strong financial literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
• Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
• Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
